Onomatopoeia

WALT to understand what is meant by figurative language recently.  Today we learnt what onomatopoeia means plus some examples of what it is.

I found spelling the actual word hard but when I broke it down it was easier.  Once I researched some examples I understood what it meant and I think I will remember it and use it in my writing.

What examples do you know?

  1. Hi Max,

Great DLO you have created, I love how you have given examples and explained what it means. You may not realise it but you have used onomatopoeia in your writing in your last post. I wonder if you could identify them?

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - Begin with a greeting. Talk about something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A comment that will mean something to me to let me know you read/watched or listened to what I had to say. - use any language.
3. Something helpful - Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
Encourage me to make another post
